Ukraine Crisis Sparks Protest Song With Skyzoo, Sticky Fingaz, And More

Skyzoo, Sticky Fingaz, Young Dirty Bastard, Jeru The Damaja, Akrobatik and more appear on a protest song against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Helping Is Trendy foundation recruited American and Polish rappers to create a protest song in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Skyzoo, Sticky Fingaz, Young Dirty Bastard, Jeru The Damaja and Akrobatik contributed new single “No Fight!” with several Polish artists. The song aims to raise funds for the creation of a shelter for mothers, children and pregnant women fleeing Ukraine.

“Our foundation specializes in helping children and mothers, mainly through the neonatology departments of Polish hospitals,” Helping Is Trendy president Krzysztof Gorzkiewicz said in a press release. “Last year we managed to organize support for them worth more than 3 million PLN, now we want to implement a project that has been born for a long time in our [country] in the face of war, which proved to be particularly and urgent.

Product of “No Fight!” will be used to build the “House of Brave Mother” shelter in Poland. If the war in Ukraine ends, the shelter will remain open for mothers and children seeking refuge from conflict.

“Our foundation comes from Kalisz, and that’s kind of obliging, because even though Kalisz is best known as the oldest town in Poland,” Gorzkiewicz noted. “It is absolutely necessary to remember that this is a city that has known war because it was one of the most damaged cities of the First World War. In August 1914, it was almost razed to the ground, as a border town at that time was the first target of the war that then broke out between Russia and Germany.
