Gamrot predicts the end of Dariush’s fight
Mateusz Gamrot gave his prediction on how his next cfu 280 fight with Beneil Dariush will end.
The Polish lightweight contender recently beat Arman Tsarukyan in a fight that put him firmly near the top of the pile at 155. Beneil Dariush himself is on a seven-fight winning streak that had seen him serve as a backup at the main event, before being ousted by king pound for pound Alexander Volkanovski.
Gamrot knows, however, that Dariush is a respected name and figure in the MMA world, and if he beat him, a title shot would make sense in the near future. Despite the respect his opponent commands, Gamrot expects a finish. Speaking to the UFC Media Dayhe gave his predictions for the fight.
Gamrot predicts a finish
“He’s an all-rounder, big, strong, putting pressure on heavy kicks, but I’m a wrestler and jiu-jitsu is my DNA.” Said the Polish all-rounder. Gamrot added that even though this is where Dariush is strongest, he will take him out in the fighting realm. “We meet on the pitch, and I’m sure I’ll finish him on the pitch.”
With the aforementioned victory, Gamrot sees himself as an undeniable entity in the division. He considers Dariush to be one of the best lightweight athletes, and a win over him brings him to similar status.
“He’s one of the best guys in the division. He is now No. 6 in the standings. Of course, if I beat him on Saturday night, I enter the top five.
With his only loss coming back in 2020 to Guram Kutaladze via split decision, Gamrot looked like the real deal from day one. A true mixed martial artist, he has improved with each outing so far. Part of the new wave of European lightweights, Gamrot’s ground game is both tough and active. He has three finishes in his last four outings on the mat and seems assured that Dariush will be the fifth.
