“In addition to the tragic deaths of those lost, medical facilities have been destroyed, leaving staff unable to provide the care desperately needed by the women and children who depend on them. The medical team is in trouble, morale is low and they urgently need help.

“In response to this senseless attack, we are raising £10,000 which will allow us to provide essential medical aid directly to Zhytomyr Maternity Hospital which will save the lives of women and children who have been affected by these atrocities.

“We’re actually sending a team to Ukraine itself to hand over those supplies to make sure they get to exactly where they’re needed.”

As part of the fundraising event, various companies donated prizes including a can of beer from Acorn Brewery and hair products from Cabellos in Emsworth.

Amazon vouchers are also up for grabs and Tesco in Havant has pledged to donate.
